Broadloom Or Carpet Tile (Modular) which one is the best choice for my project?

​We get asked by clients how to choose between broadloom and carpet squares? Here are some benefits of each one, depending on your project.
 
Apartments

If you want to make ready an apartment using carpet, whether it is a single family or multi family you will want to use broadloom over padding in the interior of the apartments for better sound isolation and lower cost. 
 
 Office

To finish a work space in an office building carpet tile may be the better choice for its durability, sleek look and many design options that can be created using carpet tile or carpet planks, it’s also easier to make repairs should you need to reconfigure the unit without the need to replace the entire carpeting, another benefit of carpet tiles is that in multi-story buildings it can easily be fit into elevators or taken up by fork lift, broadloom wont usually fit into an elevator and can be a challenge getting to upper floors.

In Hospitality, broadloom is used often with a double glue down installation, pasting down a firm rubber padding first then gluing the carpet to the padding, (a stretch in installation is not practical in long hotel corridors and large area’s) this gives a luxurious feel when walking and more importantly helps keep noise down.
